Professional Nursing Practice

ANA-MAINE supports the practice of nursing in all areas of nursing.  We recognize that constant changes in the working environment impacts nursing practice which must evolve and modify in order for nurses to remain competent and skilled.  Nursing is a discipline steeped in theory and based on the results of scientific research.   It is also a profession of respect, honor and compassion for our patients.  Each arena of practice has it's own unique challenges but we all practice under the same rules and regulations established by the State of Maine.

ANA serves its members by offering up-to-date information on many topics concerning professional nursing practices
