ANA-MAINE Leadership Opportunities
(must be an ANA-MAINE member)

If you are an ANA-MAINE member and interested in shaping the direction of Maine’s voice for professional nursing, get involved in one of ANA-MAINE ’s leadership positions and committees. Elected positions are voted upon on in a mail-in ballot during the Fall of each year and announced at the ANA-MAINE Annual Business Meeting. All positions are elected for a 2-year term unless otherwise noted.

The following leadership positions are typically elected in odd numbered years:

  • President
  • First Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Director-at-Large (3 positions)
  • ANA-MAINE Representative to the Membership Assembly (formally HOD) (3 positions)
  • Nominations Committee (1-3 positions, as needed)
  • Alternate to the Membership Assembly (formally HOD (1-4 positions, as needed)

The following leadership positions are typically elected in even numbered years:

  • Second Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Director-at-Large (3 positions)
  • ANA-MAINE Representative to the Membership Assembly (formally HOD) (if needed)
  • Nominations Committee (1-4 positions, as needed)
  • Alternate to the Membership Assembly (formally HOD (1-4 positions, as needed)

ANA-MAINE Election Process

Each year the Committee on Nominations develops a schedule for the election process, to include the process and deadlines for the Call for Nominations to the mailing out of the election ballot. Below are the forms used in the Election process.
Consent to Serve

If you are interested in running for office or another elected position, review the Conflict of Interest Form, complete a Bio-sketch & Consent to Serve Form, and contact the Board Secretary, the Chairperson of the Committee on Nominations or e-mail info@anamaine.org.
